Hyatt to open first Unbound Collection hotel in Central America


The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is set to debut at the La Compania Hotel in Panama, the brand’s first property in Central America in spring 2022.

The hotel is located in the historic Casco Antiguo district of Panama City, next to the ruins of a 300-year-old church that once served as a 17th-century convent.


Over 1,600 original photographs and personalized artwork can be found throughout the hotel.

Its 88 rooms and suites are furnished with design elements that pay homage to Spanish Colonial, French Colonial and Beaux-Arts architectural styles.

Common areas include an all-day restaurant, bistro and coffee bar, family-style Italian restaurant and steakhouse with a 300-year-old underground wine cellar, lobby lounge and rooftop bar and on the roof.

The hotel also houses a large interior courtyard with gardens, ideal for group gatherings, including weddings; and five unique reception rooms.

Other public spaces include a spa with four treatment rooms and a terrace with an infinity pool that offers panoramic views of the city and the Pacific Ocean.

To mark the hotels debuts coming soon, guests who book stays between March 1 and May 31, 2022, can take advantage of rates starting at $ 295 per night, which include breakfast, Wi-Fi, laundry service basic and minibar.

The Hyatt Hotels Corporation brand debuted in 2006 and includes upscale independent properties focused on experiential stays, important destinations.
